Worked on it for about 40 min today to try to finish back of car. Trunk does not look quite right to me so I will have to mess with that.

Not done yet but this is it so far.
"It's light. Handle's adjustable for easy carrying, good for righties and lefties. Breaks down into four parts, undetectable by x-ray, ideal for quick, discreet interventions. A word on firepower. Titanium recharger, three thousand round clip with bursts of three to three hundred, and with the Replay button - another Zorg invention - it's even easier."

Challenge 2 Dino
For this challenge i thought it would be fun to do some research and pick one dinosaur my caveman person might come across and have to defend him self against.
Ornithosuchus (meaning "bird crocodile") is an extinct genus of crurotarsan from the Late Triassic of Scotland. Originally it was thought to be the ancestor to the carnosaur dinosaurs (which then included Tyrannosaurus), however now it is known to be more closely related to crocodilians than dinosaurs.
Despite this relationship to crocodiles, Ornithosuchus was able to walk on its hind legs, like many dinosaurs. However, it probably spent most of its time on all fours, only moving bipedally when it needed to run rapidly. Its skull also resembled those of theropod dinosaurs, but more primitive features included the presence of five toes on each foot and a double row of armoured plates along the animal's back. Ornithosuchus was around 4 metres (13 ft) in length.[1]
So i just used my generic mesh to use for scale and decided i wanted to go caveman style so i gave him a long spear with an obsedion blade so he can try cut him from a distance i figure he irritates him until he rears up then cuts his stomach open or something if his spear breaks he is just SOL.
Then for defense i figured he would use some sort of prehistoric tortoise shell in case the dino charges at him.
So he is nothing special and after posting it i do not like the shell texture but i wanted to have it done for today.

Challenge 2
So Dustin was telling Dave and I his idea for the next Challenge and i think we should do it.
The Challenge is creating a weapon you would use to fight a dinosaur. At least as far as i understand. Dustin if i left something out let us know. I think the dead line should be 3/18/2011. If there is any objections say so.

Challenge One

This blog is now active!
Each week we will try to challenge ourselves, as time permits, to push our skills and boundaries beyond their current limits. Much like CGsociety challenges, except on more of a student level. I think it would be awesome to become quick and efficient enough to compete in those at some point.
I have only invited a few people so far as this is a test run for this blog. It may or may not take off. Don't feel like you need to participate if you don't have the time. (Most of us don't) But it could be a nice break from hectic projects that we are currently in the middle of, and also a chance to build portfolio and hopefully have some fun at it all at the same time.
I thought for our first challenge we could come up with a blog header/logo. I think its rather appropriate to get things started anyways. Modeled, sketched or finger-painted, no limitations to medium or style. To be posted for Friday the 4th.
Be thinking of some good ideas for future challenges!
